Site Description
A coastal mountain dominated by phrygana, with a small Pinus woodland. Human activities include arable agriculture, livestock-farming and hunting.

Habitats: Artificial landscapes (20%, Arable land; Perennial crops, orchards and groves), Coastline/rocky areas (50%, Inland cliffs; Scree and boulders; Sea cliffs and rocky shores), Shrubland (40%, Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis)

Land use: agriculture (80%), tourism/recreation (20%)

National None International Partial

3403 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) DYTIKA ASTEROUSIA(GR4310007).25074 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) ANATOLIKA ASTEROUSIA(GR4310008).

This is an important site for breeding raptors and species associated with open, rocky upland areas.
